DVD player, invalid region message

I just have the vehicle listed above and it says invalid region when I put a DVD in it. How do I fix this?

Hello,

If you are able to enter the settings, you might be able to change the region (1-6).

You might need to download a DVD ripping program, this can convert the region locked DVDs to region free. One of the programs is available called Winx DVD ripper.

If this is a factory equipped DVD player, the dealer should be able to unlock it.

So, the dealer has no idea how to fix it. They had to call tech support and are basically waiting to hear back.

Interesting, usually on issues like this they can access the setting and modify as necessary.
Did they give you a timeline of how long before they will hear back?
Unless the tech support is in Japan (Nissan factory), it should not take too long.

I took it on Friday. I told them I would check back on Monday. He said he hoped he would hear back by then.

That is terrible.
I will do some research and see if there is an easy solution.
One thing you can try is to call some of your local automotive audio/video stores that do sound systems and other accessories. They might be able to help.
