Does not open with either inside or outside handles. Out side handle appears to be disconnected, inside handle appears to be okay. Have door panels off. Is there a way to release the latch without the use of the door handles?

Hello,

There is a lock rod that you must make sure is in the unlock position at the latch. Here is a diagram of the latch and cables. Look at the latch to see if everything is attached. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Ken, It is difficult to see if the locking rod is in position or not. The door lock actuator works when activated by the key fob. The out side handle is not functioning (broken), when the inside handle is moved I can feel movement in the cable where it enters the module. Is there a way to see the rod you are talking about with a mirror? The space is fairly limited, may be a better diagram of what I need to see wold help. BTW is there no other way to release the door latch? Thank you very much for your help and am looking forward for more advice from you. Chet

That's all we have as far as diagrams go. Can you see if you can see the lock rod to work that back and forth as you work the cables to the latch? Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? That would be great. You can upload it here with your response.
