Remove the bolts holding the flange and you might need to remove the knuckle if the spindle does not make it clear.

The tripod part of the shaft has a male end that goes into the transmission. I have taken the flange plate bolts out.

The flange might get stuck. Tap the flange with a hammer to loosen and it should come off.
The part that goesinot transmission need nort be removed if you are only taking the CV shaft out.
