Hi,

If you replace the DDM, you must first upload the module configuration to the scan tool. Once the new DDM is installed, you download the information to it.

I attached directions below that explain how to replace it.

Let me know if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

It will require one that is capable of such communication with the vehicle. A basic scan tool won't do it.

I wish I had better news. Let me know if I can help.

Hi,

To do this, you need to have a scan tool that has reprogramming capabilities. Obviously, the OEM scan tool for Fords will do the trick, but they are very expensive. I know that snap-on tools offer scan tools that can do this, but again, they are very expensive.

In this case, you may want to have that part of it done for you. Or, check to see if you are able to find something on Amazon or online that will do the job but won't break the bank.

Let me know.
