Driver side seat bottom will not adjust?

The up/down and front/back tilt of the seat bottom will not work. The motors are going but there is no movement. I had a mechanic replace the two sets of gears with brass ones and he says they still don't work. He doesn't know if he put the gears in wrong, but he swears he did it by the book. Is there something else at play here?

If the seat motors are working but there is no movement it means there is something wrong with the drive part, we will need to remove the seat and disassemble the drives and motors to see what went wrong, here is how the job is done in the images below. Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

The brass gears he put in were binding. My mechanic called the manufacturer and was told the gears needed to be filed if they are binding and after that they work perfectly.
