Hi, I'm new to this website, but have read some really great stuff from here before signing up today.
I'm hoping someone could please help me get some wiring diagrams for the driver's door lock switch
A diagram of the master door lock switch connector with wire colors and what the go to and do.... would be so very helpful. i have the connector and it has 8 wires coming out of it. (It's a 12-pin connector but 4 pins are empty with no wires).
Someone has tried and failed to put a cheap alarm system in it and after failing to install the alarm correctly, they just left the alarm module zip tied under driver knee bolster and unplugged. With half of the wires connected to things (I'm assuming wrong things because it didn't work.) so I am disconnecting the alarm module wiring. But they cut some wires in half and attached alarm wires to where they thought they were supposed to go but probably don't....
really pretty stressful. All of this was done while I was in the hospital because of a hit and run motorcycle wreck 6 years ago. After a month in a coma, a full year straight in the hospital with over 36 surgeries, and then every few months ending back up in the hospital for a week-month. (They never did find the person who hit and ran my wife and I and left us), I am just now starting to be able to do some things again. (With a paralyzed left leg, limited movement in right arm, paralyzed vocal cords, and much more due to severe nerve damage). Sorry. Just trying to help you understand why it happened, and I didn't know about it until a couple days ago...
If I've left anything out, please let me know. Again, I apologize for the backstory. But I'm sure I'll be asking for more. I really like to start with the pin out diagram for the driver door lock switch.
Thank you very much, Kurt Holzbacher

Hello Kurt,

I am sorry to hear about your troubles; we don't know why these things happen they just do. You are correct in removing the alarm system, they cause nothing but problems. This is why I like automotive repair, no matter what it can always be fixed. I would check out where the wires go from the aftermarket alarm and reconnect the wiring as the factory had it. Here are the wiring diagrams for the door lock switches and lock actuators. I hope you feel better; I will help with the repair the best I can so please ask for additional information if needed. Stay well. Ken L - Check out the images (below).
