I bought this off a private owner the other day. It is running fine, but have these minor problems I cannot figure out.

1. Driver door always is ajar. I opened the door and put a paper clip in the door ajar connector and it still said "driver door ajar" so it should be the switch I would think.

2. Memory seats which are programmed for previous owner work when we put the key in, however the memory seat buttons do not work so I cannot re-program the settings.

3. Power mirrors move to pre-programmed positions when the key is inserted but the dial will not let me move them so I have to move them where I need them by hand.

I was wondering if the door ajar problem makes the memory buttons and power mirrors not work either. But I assumed maybe there is a broken wire somewhere but I have tracked it everywhere I can think to look in the door hinge area, in the door itself, under the dash, I do not see anything jumping out at me that it is broke, they all look good?

Hello,

This is common when the drivers door module goes out due to vibration or moisture. Here is the location I would try to find a used one. You may need to get it initialized by a shop once it is replaced.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

Thank you very much, I replaced the DDM and all my problems were fixed. I could not find a DDM for cheaper than $200.00 and it would have required dealer programming so I went to a junkyard and bought one for $35.00 that was already programmed and all my problems were fixed. Thanks again for your help.

The other day I had the heated seat on and went to move the seat and it started to move then stopped. It now will not move at all and the heat function no longer works. The passenger side seat still works. I was leaning towards a fuse/relay but not sure which one would be for that. I found a power seat 30A fuse under the back seat but that is for both seats I believe and the passenger side still works.
