I have three problems with one of my doors.

(1) My rear driver side door does not always unlock when I use the remote. Sometimes take two or three tries, sometimes works first try. Sometimes I just use the manual button on the driver door. All other doors never an issue.

(2) That same door the exterior handle is very loose. May or may not be related to the lock.

(3) The door swing bar that has the notches to hold it open at certain spots does not hold it open at those notches well. Any lean to the car and the door shuts with gravity.

Hi,

Lets start with the door handle/lock. I suspect the two issues are related. To check, you need to remove the rear door panel and inspect for loose components.

Here are the directions for removal of the door panel. Place the window in the full up position before removing the panel.

6. Pull the door trim upward and detach tabs B from the door.

CAUTION:
- Remove the rear door trim being careful not to scratch areas C of the sash film.

9. Remove the inner handle cover.

10. Remove the rear door trim.

11. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Once that is removed, inspect the latch and handle assembly to see if something is just loose or broken.

Let me know what you find.
