Door open warning light not working properly

When indicating left/right the passenger door open light comes on when the door is closed.

First, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, so I have extremely limited technical information. However, I will try to help.

On some vehicles, there is a switch mounted on the door frame and others the switch is part of the latch assembly. Can you check and let me know which one you feel the vehicle is equipped with?
