Code p000b - exhaust camshaft dephaser- fault servo.

Does the engine need to be opened or taken off for this problem? How much should it cost to fix?


Citroen ds3 2013 1.6 manual petrol.

Hello,

This code can be brought on by dirty or low engine oil FYI, if the oil has not been changed, I would do this first. Also, while the engine is idling does it make a rattling sound? If so, this can be the timing chain showing signs of wear or a chain tensioner is broken, and the engine cannot keep camshaft timing in the correct placement. Can you upload a short video of the engine idling from under the hood, that way I can tell which direction to go in the help fix it.
