Does not go into four wheel drive

The 4 wheel drive high and low lights come on when I turn on the key then go right back off, which is normal. However, after starting it and I turn the dial to put it into either high or low 4 wheel drive neither light comes on and it most definitely does not go into 4 wheel drive. I found out the hard way and got stuck. That is when I noticed the dash lights did not come on. The rear wheels spin but the front do not at all.

This is most likely either a switch issue or the PCM is not sending the signal to the motor to shift into gear. However, normally when you turn the switch the indicator will light up if the switch is operating and the fact that it is not, points to the switch itself.

We need to test for power coming out of the switch to the PCM when you turn it and that will tell us if that is the issue or not. Here is a guide that will help with this:
