My van keeps dying after I drive for a little or lot. It will sometimes seem to cough then keep going other times it can be put in neutral and restarted. Most the time it dies altogether it will restart after ten minutes to a couple hours. I have replaced the fuel filter, ignition coil, spark plugs/wires and distributor and cap. What else could it be?

It could be your fuel pump. It is in the tank and is a dangerous repair(replacement of entire unit with screen. Before anything you should scan it for codes because the dist. Pick-up and sensors that are controlled by the computer could be bad also, but the coughing part and experience points to a bad fuel pump as with so many miles it was a common repair. I wouldn't do it in my backyard. Have it tested with the whole ignition system using a scanner and fuel pressure tester. Really the best way.
I want you safe.
