1990 Dodge Van smokes when give it gas oil smoke

Is there a temporary fix so I don't get pulled over? Geting rering kit first of next month. Van was sitting little over a year. Just got it running.

I have heard of many types of additives that are supposed to work, and seen none actually take care of too much mechanical clearance problems. I don't think you should be driving because it not only is bad for legal reasons but may cause block damage. OK
