Driving home from work, I rolled down the left door window to pay a toll and it would not roll up. VERY carefully I removed the interior panel, unplugged all elect. Connections and found that the roller that fits in the bottom metal form of the window was broke in half, and off the arm that raises and lowers the window. I am praying that I do NOT have to replace the whole elect arm system. How do I fix this and where might I find drawings that will show me how. Also the plastic "grommets"? I think they are called, where do I get those?
Thanks

Ok good and bad news here. You do need to replace the window regulator and with motor is a better buy. Now it is not as bad as you think. I found it online for 120 dollars. Now here is a pic and if you decide to replace it yourself get back to me an I will help you get it done.

How hard is it to do this? I think of my self as a so so self taught mechanic, but the thought of getting inside that door with out having done it before. The main concern is doing a FUBAR on it. Also finding a mechanic to do this that I trust and won't bleed me dry. Where do I find the part # so I can call around locally to find it. I am an over the road truck driver and will have to be able to do this over the next couple of days or put it off till I get home again in 4 to 6 weeks.
