Hi dlbullseye360,

Thank you for the donation.

There are a few engine variants and I need to know the specific model and engine type to be able to get an accurate analysis of the problem so would need you to fill me in if the following does not help.

The most likely cause would be the crankshaft position sensor located on right rear of engine block, ( for 3.2 L, 3.9L and 5.2L )( On right lower side of cylinder block, above oilpan rail for 8.0L)) . The flood water could have contaminated or damaged it causing the no spark.

The stories sounds a little fishy, because of what you say "when it quit the starter quit also" so what you're trying to tell me is you had spark till you "fixed the starter but have no spark" you better check the starter again you probably left some wires off the solenoid that feed power to the ignition system, double check your starter installation
