Transmission problem
1999 Dodge Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 170.00 miles

I drove to wrok today and everything was fine. I stop at a light. When light is green I cannot go. It revs up but acts like it is not in gear. It went on for about 5 seconds before it started moving and this continued at every light till I got back home. The fluid level is good and clean. Any suggestions or am I screwed?

Not sure if this is the same problem--but I had a Ford Ranger do a similar thing--took it in, and it was in the brain/transmitter problem--cost me about $350.00 to fix--it would shift, but always seemed like it was slipping--I ended up shifting it manually, Low, 2nd High until they fixed it--been okay for 6 months since--cheaper than a transmission--
