Hello Jim,
I have a 1996 3500 Dodge Diesel with the same problem. I have about 190,000 miles on my truck. I have never found a repair short of replacing the fuel sender, and it only lasted about 60,000 miles before acting up again. I have learned to live with mine not working after repairing it once, and simply fill up every 400 miles now. I realise its not a resolve, but I'm wondering what others may have to offer, and wanted to let you know, you are not alone. The dodge diesel fuel sender problem is actualy wide spread, and unless Dodge has resolved the problem, a new sender will stop working again after about 50k.
