1997 Dodge Truck wipers

My windshield wipers would not work when I got in the truck the other day. I replaced the fuse and they worked for about five swipes then blew again, I tried two more fuses and they are blowing as soon as you turn on the key with the wipers turned off. What could the problem be?

The wiper arm bushings may be bad causing the motor to work to hard and blow fuses
