1997 Dodge Truck No power

I have a Ram 1500, the truck runs pretty good in neutral or park. It lacks power when in gear, will not pull itself up a grade. It has a 43 diagnostic code, I am not sure what to check? The check engine light started flashing befor I got it to a place I could park it.

The flashing check engine light indicates a severe misfire. You need to get the codes read with a code reader and that will identify which cylinder your having the problem with. Ignore the flash codes as they are no help.
