1996 Dodge Truck head lights

I turn on the headlights and they are fine for about 3 minutes, then they go on and off every 5 seconds almost like flashers, they do this on high beam and low beam, please give me some ideas, thank you david

With or without DRL's (daytime running lamps)? There is a module involved with them, without them it is either the headlight switch or the dimmer switch, nothing else is in the circuit
