I have a 1989 Dodge Ram 50 truck. The power steering pump started leaking and making noise and the fluid started foaming and overflowing. I had my mechanic replace the pump. Now the power steering is a little stiff (both left and right) and it seems to get worse after I drive it and it heats up. I added Lucas Steering stop leak, this did not help, I also had my mechanic try a second pump. Could I have air in the line or some other simple problem? I like this truck but I do not want to spend a lot more money to fix it because of its age.

Hi:
To bleed the ps raise the front tires off the ground and with the engine off, turn the wheels left to right several times. That should bleed any air from the system.

Let me know if it helps, and make sure the truck is securly raised.
