2004 Dodge Stratus Substantial gas mileage reduction.

On a 2 day trip with this car loaded down. The first day I got 34 miles per gallon, I filled up that night before going to the hotel for the night. The next day I got(and still get) 25 miles to the gallon. I have noticed no change in performance at all. I can't find anything at all wrong with it.

Could be that the vehicle isnt used to the heavy loads or the gas put in is a different blend or quality and the knock sensors have changed your tming and fuel mixture and it will take a while for it to come back.

Get the vehicle scanned for codes.
