Assuming you mean subframe, it may or may not need to be dropped down. The hardest part is usually taking the bolt out of the steering linkage- rack. Make sure u have the steering wheel straight, and locked. Once that bolt is out, remove both nuts on your outer tie rod ends. Wack the hub assembly a few times and the tie rods should come right out. Then get under neath and disconnect the 2 lines to your rack. I believe they are 18mm, and a shorter wrench is desired. Once those are disconnected, remove the 2 long bolts holding the rack+pinion inplace. If you cant get the rack out, then remove the 2 bolts for the subframe in the rear. That will give you about an extra inch of clearance. It should come right out then.
