Transmission problem
1999 Dodge Stratus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I REPLACED A TRANY IN A DODGE STRATUS WITH ONE OUTOF A SEABRING I PUT STRATUS SENCERS IN THE TRANY DO I NEED TO USE SEABRING SENCERS OR DOES IT MATTER AND IS THERE A TRANY COMPUTER AND WHERE IS IT LOCATED

WHEN I FIRST PUT THE TRANY IN I ONLY REPLACED ONE OF THE SENSERS AND WHEN TEST DRIVING IT SHIFTED DOWN REALY HARD WHEN YOU CAME TO A STOP SO I REPLECED THE OTHER ONE NOW THE TRANY WON'T SHIFT OUT OF FIRST AND ALL THE DASH LIGHTS COME ON

First make sure that this transmission is definitly compatible. Sebring had more than one option I believe.

IF it is, then the TCM ( transmission control Module) needs to have a re-learn procedure performed. This must be done with a scanner that is capable of doing this. Certain criteria must be met before the procedure is done. This is all done through the DLC.
