1998 Dodge Stratus Code 1698 no comm between tcm and BCM

Transmission intermittently goes into limp-in mode and sets check engine light for code 1698 have checked wiring and verified communication loss on tcm.

have tried using a tcm of another stratus but has same problem

Would appreciate any help u can give

If you are to switch the Body Control Computer, make sure that the other Stratus or Cirrus has the same engine and 1997 and up. See what happens.
