My aunt let the car run out of gas and it sat there for over a year being started every once and a while. It always fired right up, this time the gas was ran out again I believe so I added about 2.5 gallons and It wont fire. I has spark and will run with starting fluid but nothing else. I took the main gas line off the fuel rail and turned it over and saw no fuel. Is my fuel pump bad or could it be something else?

In tank fuel pumps are cooled and lubricated by the fuel in the tank. When you run a car out of gas, it pumps a lot of air through the pump which overheats it and causes some severe wear and many times, failure when they cool off.
You will need to use a fuel pressure gauge to verify this
