Tires and Wheels problem
1992 Dodge Stealth 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I have a 92 Dodge Stealth base model. There was a grinding noise on the front passanger side while the car was moving. I thought it was the brakes and took it to a mechanic. The mechanic stated that it was the hub and not the brakes. He also stated that Dodge no longer have these hubs in stock. I went online and found numerous places that have these hubs. The mechanic stated that I had to be sure that the hub was for an HT model (?) And not for the turbo model. I'm thinking that he told the lady that I really talked to, to make sure I got the one for an R/T model, not the R/T turbo. Either way I do not have the R/T model. I have the base model. I also checked to see if the front wheel hub on all models were the same. According to 4 auto parts places I checked online, they are the same. Only the rear hubs are different. I would like to know from someone who knows if I am correct about all the front hubs being the same. I do not have ABS.

Hello â€

I have attached what I show for parts. I have also checked another parts info area. It appears that you need more specifics, as you see by the parts I have attaced. Does it have ABS or not, etc.

My suggestion to you is to start with the dealer and bring in your VIN number to the parts department. They can tell you the part numbers and what type you need for the front and back. While there I would get an estimate.

With that info then you can check several parts stores as you will have the exact for the front and back plus part numbers.

Hey

Also, it looks like you may have some recalls on your vehicle. The dealer may fix these for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you.
