Hello, with electronic transmission, it shows a two wire socket. Without electronic transmission, it shows a 3 wire socket. It may not make any difference, but the third wire, if violet with black tracer, Isolate it from ground. The violet wire with black tracer is voltage. Have helper turn the key on, put in reverse, see if there is any voltage. If you have voltage check ground.

Three wire connector, my info shows two violet with black tracer, one black. The black is ground, the other voltage, you only need one.
