My husband and I recently purchased (about a week ago) a 2008 Dodge Ram FlexFuel truck with 63000 miles. Carfax was clean and showed the vehicle was regularly serviced by the dealership. Within a few days we noticed the truck lightly jerk while driving down the road. Was on cruise and pulling a hill so initially thought perhaps it had to do with the cruise. Now the truck has an intermittent rough idle when in park and an intermittent jerk when maintaining speed on a highway or pulling a hill. The truck has not died, has no error codes, RPM's never change and shifts just fine into gears. The rough idle in park is not so bad (noticeable but not awful). What is most bothersome is the intermittent jerk while maintaining speed or pulling a hill. We have not noticed a jerk or a decrease in power when accelerating.

Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it.

Would most of these options (such an an EGR or other sensor) produce an error code? There are no error codes.

Thank you for any help you can provide! I am hoping we didn't made a bad decision when we purchased this vehicle and that the fix is simple.

Try testing the throttle position sensor/manifold absolute pressure/clean the mass airflow sensor
