Occasionally not always my vehicle has a tendcy to die on me. First it will sputter and if I touch the pedal it'll die. Sometimes it'll sputter and if I dot touch anything it will stay running and then I can go again. Everytime I take it to a dodge mechanic they are unable to get it to happen. They had me repla e the egr vavle and that did nothing to help it. I'm at a lose what to check or even find a way to make it reoccur whenthe mechanics are around. Same goes for my 4wd. It works most of the time but when I need it, it flashes and then errors out saying service 4wd by time it gets to the shop nothing

Does the engine problem only happen when you fill the tank? Do you stop the pump as soon as it clicks off or do you squeeze more fuel into the tank?

As far as the 4wd, do you have the electric shift or is it a manual shift 4wd unit?

The 4wd is electronic and when it works u can hear it switch over but when it don't u don't hear much. It flips over though making it challenging to take it back out cause it didn't properly lock itself and the service 4wd light is on. Have to shut off the vehicle flip it to 4wd turn the vehicle on. Hope it takes and flip back to 2wd.

As for the fuel issue. I usually top it off but it's randomly when it does it. No lights come on just sputters and dies. I decided to top it off well before bringing it to the mechanics hoping it would do it for them but nothing. It did it not long ago to me when I was pulling upto a taco bell speaker box. I fueled it not long before that. It doesn't always do it. It was so bad once I couldn't stop at a ligh without it diein. I would make a turn or even while driving it would die without notice. It hasn't been that bad for awhile. Just tired of not finding the problem

The 4wd issue sounds like a bad actuator. When it doesn't work, you need to check the actuator for power.

As far as the engine, has the check engine light ever come on?

Have you checked for vacuum leaks and fuel pressure?
