The drivers side power door lock will not work with either the remote or the door switch. You can not pull up or down on the lock it is stuck in the down position. You cannot get in the truck with the key either. The lock is stuck constantly in the down position. Although you can open the door from the inside and the lock will lift up but go back down as soon as you let go of the inside door handle. Is the latch assly bad with the coil on the actuator stuck in the down position or do you think it is mechanical? I hear no sound from the actuator even attempting to move when the switch is placed up or down. Thankyou

Your going to need to pop open that inside door panel (recommed getting a door panel tool, screw drivers can cause too much damage) make sure the window is all the way up before you start. After you get the inside panel off to remove the lock motor you will either have to drill out rivits or remove retainer rings to get it out then you can check it to see if its bad. I think its mechanical not electrical, but soon you will find out. Hope that helps.
