HOW DO I REPLACE THE FRONT AXLE U-JOINT , DO THE BALL JOINTS ALSO HAVE TO BE REMOVED ?

You will need to remove the axle nut, rotor/ caliper, and the bearings. The knuckle can stay bolted on the ball joints. After the bearings are out, the shaft slides out of the axle housing.
