2003 Dodge Ram check gauges

2003 dodge ram 1500 with 5.7. Noticed that the check gauges warning light comes on. Oil pressure gauge sits on L when this happens. This light has come on once before but now stays on. I have checked oil level numberous times & is where it should be. Could you tell me what could be going on before I take this in? Thanks in advance

Is there any knocking or ticking from the engine when the light is on?

Do not hear any such noise. Just listened to it & sounds normal. Any ideas?

Replace the oil sending switch. If you hear no noise from the engine, it has oil pressure. Either the switch itself is bad, or the gauge.

Let me know what you find.
