Recently I have had a problem with my rpm's randomly increasing while driving or at idle as if someone was lightly tapping the gas. The problem is greater during idle but the rpms do randomly increase occasionally while driving as well.

Has the check engine light come on? It sounds like a throttle position sensor problem, but that is a guess without the light. Let me know if it is on.

No the check engine light has not come on. The problem also seems to be random as well, sometimes the rpm's jump like crazy and other times the truck runs fine.
