I bought a 01 dodge ram 1500 sport 5.9 and I put about 500 miles on it and it started acting crazy. So I took it to a mechanic and he said put a TPS on it, so I did. It fixed it so I put about 500 more miles on it and it started doin the same thing, and it was giving the same OBD code so I put another TPS on it but it didnt fox it this tme. But its still giving the same code. I called the dodge place and they said it sounds like it aint gettin enough voltz to the sensor. So does it sound like to you that theres a bad wire between the ECM and the TPS?

Hello, did you ever check for ref voltage at the tps? Unplug the sensor, turn the key on, use dmm on the proper circuit, what is the voltage reading? There are several sensors that share ref voltage, you may have to check them all? One sensor may be drawing ref voltage from the others? Map--cam and crank sensors--tps. The ground circuits that are shared are too numerous to count.
