Transmission problem
1999 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I recently purchased a used truck 99 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with 150K miles. Didnt notice it on the test drive, but on occassion when i take off slow from a complete stop i can feel the transmission "shutter" between first and second, a hesitation back and forth a few times. If i press on the gas it will go away and shift thru the gears fine. I dropped the pan, changed the fluid/filter, but seems to be doing the same thing. most times the tranny works fine, but I really notice it when its a light touch of the pedal in first gear. Also noticed it the other day when I was slowing down to take a corner that turned into a hill, as I was climing a paved hill it was doing a bit of the "shuttering". any idea's.? Thanks for your time

It's probably a worn 2nd gear clutch pack. If the fiber discs in the pack are worn too thin and under light pressure they will "chatter" before they close all the way. There is really no "miracle in a can" I have found that will solve the problem. If I'm correct, the trans is just getting tired.
