When I'm in 2WD, there is a clunking sound that speeds up as I speed up. I put it into 4WD last night and the clunking sound went away. The sound is pretty loud and I'm wondering what the cause is?
Thank you!

FIrst off what have you checked and haven't checked? Do you have an idea of where it sounds like it is coming from? How are the rear u-joints (on the rear driveline)? Does it have a carrier bearing on the rear driveline and if so is there alot of play in it? Get back to me with what you know and we will go from there. Thanks and have a great day.

I haven't been under there to check anything so far. The noise seems to be coming from the front of the truck.

Ok so I would check the driveline u-joints and the axle shafts for looseness first. Let me know what you find and we will go from there.
