My truck just stopped running and it worked fine last night?

My truck just stopped running and it worked fine last night. The radio, the lights all work but the truck wouldnt start. We replaced the battery and now the truck starts but when you take your foot off the gas it stop running. What do you think this is?

Has the check engine light come on? It sounds like a throttle position sensor (TPS) but I can't be sure without the check engine light?

The check engine light is on but its for a bad 02. So the truck started running again so we thought mabe it just needed to dry out but now its back to not starting. Im so lost and confused I took it to almost 7 different mechanics and they all told me they didnt know so any help would be amazing

First, sorry it took so long to get back with you. I'm dealing with a ill father.

Regardless, if the truck isn't running now, this shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I need to know if the engine is getting spark and fuel. One will be missing if it isn't running. If you need directions on checking it, let me know.
