went i turn my air control to blow air at my face and i get on the gas it quits blowing from there and starts blowing from the defrosters were should i begin to look?

Yes it sounds lilke a vacuum leak to me too. Start at the switch (keep in mind the switch could be bad too). Most likely you have a break near where the line goes through the firewall to the engine. Disconnect the supply line from the switch and see if is seems strong.
