1985 Dodge Ram

My truck has a short in a wire somewhere. I put it in four wheel drive and drive down the road, and the headlights dash lights and radio flicker on and off. It also has killed the engine a couple of times too. Any suggestions as to where the problem is?

Hi:
The best place to start is at the battery. Make sure all connections are clean and tight. Also, check the grounds at the engine block and body. Make sure there are no damaged wires at the firewall and the main plug (at firewall) is clean and tight, free of corrosion.
