1964 Dodge Polara V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
i have replaced the alternator, also the voltage regulator. My battery is still not charging, could have needed a battery all this time? Don't know how old the battery is. Or could I have some other problem? My car is a 45 yr. Old classic. Thanks for any imput you may have
The battery has to be good in order for the alternator to put a charge out. Take the battery to an auto parts store after you have charged it. They can test it to see if it's any good. It must be charged first though. NOT just taken out of the car and checked.
