I have a 2001 Dodge 2500 4x4 with the cummings diesel with the automatic transmition and 1350000 miles. It hestiates when shifting gears. At interstate speeds when it reaches 2000 RPM it wil not accelerate until I take my foot off the acceleraton, then it will pick up speed. Also when I am going up hill it seems to choke out. It doesn't loose RPM but it will not pick them up either.

How long has it been since youre automatic tranny fluid & filter been changed. Also has youre fuel system like filters and injectors been cleaned, air filter, throttle body been cleaned.

The fuel filter and air filter have been chainged in the last month, with the tranny I'm not sure. I bought the truck used and it had 115000 miles then. It wouldn't suprise me if the transmition had never been serviced. I'll take it and have it done and let you know the results.
