1 ton, 94 dodge 4x, turbo, lack of power going up hill, very poor exceleration from start. Clutch is ok, wheel bearings are free rolling. Brakes are not sticking, Gear oils and engine oil is full, all fluids are fine. I did not check fuel pump presure, the engine does not sputter, runs fine with idle as well as with excellerator pushed down. But, in gears - excellerating very poor

OK, when you mentioned "turbo" I thought it might be a Cummins. If you have a check engine light, I will need to know what codes are stored in memory. If no codes, the most common cause of power loss is dirty fuel filter. If you know the filter is clean, then we have to look at the pump pressure or timing. This can only be done with special equipment so you'd probably have to take it in. If it smokes excessively under load, it could be injectors or pump timing. With 150K on the motor and good maintenance, it, s still probably solid as a rock. But, you may be due for a pump. Hope this helps.
