The last I heard, the housing was no longer available from the dealer, but the internal shoes, spring, and pin were. It's the big pin that wears out, but if the housing is rusty inside, it contributes to the problem of sloppy steering. If the pin does not stay in the shaft tightly, the hole is worn out and the shaft must be replaced. That's very expensive, but also very uncommon.
There is also a rebuild kit available over the internet, but I've never looked for it.
