Cylinder Pops Out

I have a 1996 Dodge neon over 140,000 miles (Gauges not working properly). I started the car and I got a loud popping noise during idle; I checked the engine and saw a cylinder (or spark plug) had popped out. I tried to screw it back in, to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

If you get a closer look, the thread are probably now missing in the head for the spark plug. I have seen guys use a heli-coil to resolve it.

This happens somtimes because of plugs not being changed early enough and the threads coming partially out when they are changed, and also from overtightening.
