Red circle light on dash

I was wondering what the red circle light in the top right hand corner of dash means? I used my spare key this morning and the engine ran and then shut down and that light was blinking. Then I used my normal set of keys and nothing happened. Just wanted to know what that light means.

2003+ Dodge Neons are equipped with sentry key. In short, the spare key needs a chip that is the same as your normal one. I have an 2002 Neon with a 2004 Neon cluster with sentry key, and my light is always on, but it does not do anything because my car is not equipped with sentry key.

Edit: I forgot to explain better. There is not anything wrong with your car. That is the purpose of sentry key. If you use the wrong key it will start and then then turn off when it sees that you are not using the appropriate key.

You can do a hard reboot on the security system by touching the negative battery cable to the positive cable for 5 minutes to discharge the capacitors.
