2005 Dodge Neon Malfunction Light On

My malfunction light came on, I thought that I may have gotten bad gas and drove 45 miles and then lost speed, heard some sort of noise, finally the speed went down to 12 mi. Per hour, barely made it home.

The code is PO340, what is the problem? I am afraid that I will have to be towed to the shop, as it would only go 12 mph on the way home.

Check the camshaft position sensor. The code doesn't tell you what to replace only that the computer thinks there is a problem on that system.

The sensor may be located on the driver-side end of cylinder head, in that area.
