Will an 01 transmission fit an 03 with same engine

The difference in the years you mentioned will most likely cause problems. The trans control module was a seperate unit in 01. I believe it became an integral part of the PCM in 03. Don't be fooled. What looks like the TCM mounted above the trans pan on the newer one is really nothing more than shift solenoids.
