my transmission is leaking and when i come to a stop and when it downshifts it jerks.

Hi there , you will have to locate the leak, there are only a few places a serious leak can occur, pan gasket, drive shaft seals, torque converter seal. the transmission performance could be related to low oil levels, check and repair the leak first.
