Alarm malfunction

I just replaced the battery in my car and now the alarm seems to be engaged. The car will not start and the alarm no longer beeps when I lock/unlock the doors. Is there a way to reset the alarm?

Disconnect the battery place key in the ignition and turn it to ON reconnect the battery that should get you going start the engine

Thanks for the help! Well we tried this and it didn't work.

The alarm is working b/c my headlights and interior lights flash on/off when we use the remote. However, there's no sound from the alarm (just the lights flashing) and the car isn't starting.

Could something be disconnected perhaps?
